We only collect data that is strictly necessary to provide and secure our interactive learning services:

• Authentication Profile: When you sign in using Google Login, we receive your email address, display name, and profile photo URL to create and sync your account.
• Progress Tracker: We store your solved problems, score points, and completion timestamps to power your Achievements and Profile Leaderboard.

2. How We Use Your Data

We utilize your information solely for the following purposes:

• To personalize your visualizer experience and save your custom inputs.
• To display your username and avatar on the global Leaderboard.
• To analyze platform performance and fix rendering or compilation bugs.

3. Google User Data Interaction & Compliance (Data Accessed & Used)

To comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, we explicitly disclose the following details regarding how our application interacts with Google user data:

• Data Accessed: Our application accesses, collects, and interacts with the following specific types of Google user data upon authentication:
  • Email Address: Used to uniquely identify the user account, enable account recovery, link user sessions, and send transactional communications regarding premium subscription status.
  • Display Name: Used to identify the user within the application, save custom names for leaderboards, and populate profile pages.
  • Profile Photo URL: Used to display the user avatar/profile picture within the interface, enhancing personalization.
  • Google Unique User ID (UID): Used internally within our Firebase authentication and Firestore database to securely link the user's record with their learning progress.
• Data Usage & Processing Purpose: How we use, process, and handle the accessed Google user data:
  • Seamless Authentication: To allow users to securely sign in using their existing Google credentials without creating and remembering additional passwords.
  • Profile Personalization: To customize the dashboard experience, display names and avatars on global leaderboards and user profiles.
  • Account & Subscription Management: To tie user data structure progress, streaks, levels, and paid/premium subscriptions to the user's verified identity securely on the server.

We do not access, store, or process sensitive data from other Google services (such as Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or Gmail). All data handling strictly honors the principle of data minimization and limited use.

4. Data Security

Your authentication and profile data are stored securely using Firebase SDK and enterprise-grade encryption. Access to our database is restricted to authorized personnel only.

5. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to access, correct, or permanently delete your profile and progress data. If you wish to delete your account, you can do so instantly from your Profile page, or by contacting our support team at support@algosteps.com.
